The patient
education specialists from the central Ohio health systems have
been working together for more than 3 years to create an
inventory of health education materials, called Health
Information Translations. This is a collaborative
initiative intended to improve health education for limited
English proficient patients.
In May 2008,
the National Library of Medicine's Medline Plus launched their
Multiple Language resources and over 2200 of the documents were
linked from the HealthInfoTranslations site.
