Columbus' network of not-for-profit healthcare systems is one of our community's greatest assets. For more than a century, Franklin County hospitals have provided broad access to high-quality, competitively priced healthcare.
The Central Ohio Hospital Council is releasing
“Our Contributions to the Community”
report, not only to highlight the many ways Franklin County hospitals support the community, but also to continue the discussion begun in 2008 with community leaders, elected officials and the citizens of central Ohio on the issues facing our local health care system. It is our hope that the facts and figures contained in this report will enhance future deliberations on how health care is delivered.
To enhance the community dialogue, the CEOs of the four hospital systems have filmed video commentaries on the four topics highlighted in the report. We invite you to view the videos to the left to learn more about:
- Hospitals’ Community Benefit, discussed by Claus Von Zychlin, president and CEO of Mount Carmel Health System;
- Hospitals’ Economic Contributions, discussed by Dave Blom, president and CEO of OhioHealth;
- Hospitals’ Quality Collaborations, discussed by Dr. Steve Allen, CEO of Nationwide Children’s Hospital; and
- Hospitals’ Unique Efforts to Serve the Indigent, discussed by Dr. Steve Gabbe, CEO of The Ohio State University Medical Center
“A Closer Look,” including additional facts and figures on each of these issues, can be found by clicking on the links below. Central Ohio Hospitals invite you to comment on the information provided by visiting the YouTube and Facebook pages of the Central Ohio Hospital Council.
